Account Manager

The main responsibility for the Account Manager - Taiwan is to manage a number of OEM/ODM accounts with location primarily in Taiwan. The Account Manager is the point of contact for the working level customer interaction, and the goal with the work is to achieve design wins with the Tobii Tech products in these accounts. The role also includes working close together with the Integration Program Manager for accounts that has been signed. The Account Manager will also be expected to have direct contact with HQ functions such as Sales, Product management and Marketing, all located in Stockholm, Sweden.

Tobii sells eye-tracking platforms (both HW and SW) to device manufacturers in the VR, PC Gaming, PC and Smartphone segments for integration into their products. Current customers include Huawei, Dell/Alienware, Acer, MSi etc . Tobii also works very closely with the world’s largest game studios for integrations into PC and VR games, for example Ubisoft, Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and the like for integration into games like The Division, Assasins Creed, Watch Dogs 2, DeusX and Tombraider.

The AM will be part of the Tobii Tech Sales organization and report to VP Sales, and have its primary location in the Tobii Taipei office and be employed by Tobii Taiwan.

Account Manager Responsibilities:

 Managing existing accounts

  • Perform weekly and sometimes daily meetings with large and medium size OEM’s and ODM’s
  • Facilitate meeting for VP Sales with high level customer functions.
  • Building business cases and presenting this to Customers
  • Analyzing customers and their needs in order to find opportunities and pain points
  • Identifying key stake holders and decide on the specific account strategy in terms of people interaction
  • Prioritize accounts in time and probabilities
  • Coordinate sales activities between the customer and Tobii functions such as FAE, Integration team, Product Management, Marketing, User experience etc.
  • Facilitate and articulate the complete content/user experience together with Sales, IPM, product management and synchronize messaging with marketing.
  • Identifying new features and functions that the OEM’s need, in order to close the deal.
  • Being an expert in performing demonstrations of the eye tracking solution in the PC gaming, VR, PC and Smartphone fields as well as other SW applications
  • Do product presentations and perform demos to excite a broad range of customer representatives to build momentum and buy-in for the launch
  • Together with Integration Project Manager, draft project schedules to be communicated with the customers and Tobii HQ

Break in and identifying new accounts:

  • Break into new accounts. Using your network, as well as making new connections, identify and pursue new opportunities
  • Regular brain storming sessions with IPM and Sales to identify new opportunities
  • Together with Sales/Product organization be a part of the strategy discussions as the existing and future Sales strategy for the organization is formed

Tobii is a very innovative company. A profound interest in technology, curiosity for user interfaces and interest in gaming is important.

The position requires ability to travel to customer’s sites primarily in Taipei. Travel to HQ in Stockholm for a tight cooperation with HQ functions, is also required. The AM should know minimum Chinese and English on a profound level in both oral and writing.


The AM should

  • Have a good technical understanding also of complex solutions.
  • Have a social and positive attitude, being able to interact with people on different levels and in different situations
  • Be eager to close deals
  • Have driving license and be able to travel to multiple customer sites
  • Be willing to travel, both local and international
  • Have a university degree in Science or business.
  • Be, or have been, a gamer (this is a plus)
  • Have a keen interest in technology
  • PC Gaming and/or VR experience is a strong plus
